Evan Chan

Hello world! My name is Evan Chan! I am currently a software engineer working at Aviva Canada. I went to the United States in 2015 to pursue my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and I graduated from University of California, Riverside in 2019. I am interested in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning as I found them really intriguing and challenging that computers can achieve a lot of things that eases human effort, so that humans can focus more on the business aspects of things and produce more outputs. During my free time, for indoor activities I like to play board games and poker, and for outdoor activites I like to walk on trails, sightseeing, and jogging!

My goals on what I want to achieve with machine learning:

Text generation from speech recognization to writing articles
Guess the age of a person/animal
Prediction of disease progression
Classification such as assessing loanee's ability to repay the loan
Having robots to do various kinds of tasks from ordering food to cooking
And so much more...
